2008 Fishing Programs

Weekend Fly Fishing School at Seyon Ranch
June 13th, 14th ,15th 2008
Experience the best weekend fly fishing school around. This is a unique opportunity to learn to fly fish at one of Vermont's most secluded & unique lakes. Come learn to fly fish with us! We use specially designed training techniques for the average beginner or the “fish out of water”. During our Weekend School, we will teach you both the roll cast and false cast, as well as briefly educate you on the aquatic life of our native trout & its specific food sources. The fish will never know what hit ‘em! All equipment is provided.

Current Fishing Conditions

We have been out guiding daily and the conditions are picking up with the cool temperatures that we are having in the evenings. Fish with BWO's #16-22,Caddis #14-16, ants and grasshoppers. Good Luck & fish on <))))><

Casting for Recovery Thank You

I would like to thank each and everyone of you, for all that you gave to us this past week-end. You gave your time, your talent, and most of all you gave of yourselves. Each one of you touched me in many different ways. I think I will gain from this experience as time goes on as well. I will think back often of this past week-end, and will always remember the spirit with which you conducted this program. I enjoyed your honesty, your energy, and sense of humor.
I hope to get into fly fishing from this experience too.
I pray you will be able to continue this wonderful work.

Low Water Conditions

This has been one of the driest August on record and we are in need of some H2O...the forecast for the next 3 days is rain which should help with all the rivers and streams. We would like to hear about any of your fishing adventures. Let us know how your doing <"))))><

There has been a great deal of talking, e-mailing and blogging about Didymo and one thing is true, it is in our waterways. We can help slow down the spread of this by washing our gear daily which means our waders, boots, fly-line, reel, flies and anything that comes in contact with the rivers that are affected. We also need to make sure that we talk to the kayaking community to make sure they are washing their boats, paddles since this is another prime way of spreading didymo. Any idea's on how we educate the wildlife in the state from spreading it around?
